🙏 “Be persistent in prayer, but do not be resistant to God’s answer.”

Today’s message was a beautiful reminder that prayer isn’t simply about asking God to change our circumstances. Prayer is about the presence of God.

God may change the situation—and sometimes He does. But often, God changes us. He sustains us with our daily bread, nourishes us, strengthens us, and gives us what we need to face whatever life brings.

Some days come with joy and gratitude. Other days bring pain, uncertainty, and loss.

But through it all, God is with us. 💙

As we look toward a new week, we invite you to join us tomorrow at 10:25 AM for worship and fellowship at First Presbyterian Church. Whether you’re a familiar face or joining us for the first time, all are welcome! ⛪️

Join us Friday, August 28 at noon for a special potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall!
This is more than just a meal — it’s a chance to slow down, connect, laugh, and enjoy time together as a church family. ❤️
Bring a friend, bring a dish to share, and come as you are! Whether you want to chat, play cards or board games, join a hymn sing, or simply enjoy good food and good company, there’s a place for you here.
🌿 Everyone is welcome — new faces, familiar faces, friends and neighbours!
Plates, cutlery, napkins and beverages will be provided. Please bring a little extra food so we can make sure there’s plenty for everyone!

Incredible Day at Our Annual Picnic

What a wonderful day of fellowship at our Church Picnic! We were blessed with beautiful sunshine, delicious food, and, most importantly, the opportunity to gather together as a church family.

It was a joy to welcome both familiar faces and new friends, sharing laughter, meaningful conversations, and the simple gift of being together. Events like these remind us of the strength of our church community and the importance of making time to connect with one another.

A special thank you to our Sunday School children, teachers, and volunteers for the thoughtful Father’s Day treats prepared for all the dads. Your kindness and generosity made the day even more meaningful and were a wonderful reflection of the love and care within our church family.

Thank you as well to everyone who helped organize, prepare, and contribute to the picnic, and to everyone who attended and made it such a special day. We are grateful for the memories made and look forward to many more opportunities to gather in fellowship.

Just a friendly reminder that we will be worshipping at the Penetanguishene Museum this Sunday for our annual Church Picnic!

Following the service, we’ll gather for a potluck lunch, fellowship, and activities for all ages.
